Team Lotus 50th Anniversary 

A celebration of the 50th anniversary of Team Lotus' first racing entry will be held at Hethel, on Sunday 18th July.

Along with a range of memorabilia on display, 20 Formula One cars will be driven round the Hethel test track for the audience.

New Janspeed J205 S2 Upgrade 

A new performance upgrades is now available to Elise S2 owners! For £1999 (including fitting), the Janspeed J205 package includes a new cylinder head, free-flow 4-2-1 tubular exhaust, new catalyst and sports exhaust system, as well as a new induction system.

The producers of the Janspeed J205 kit claim an increase of 26bhp in power and 25% torque increase.

The kit is available for the non-Variable Valve Control (VVC) Elise S2 only.

Lotus at Donington Park 

Lotus will be holding their annual festival this weekend (March 27-28th) at Donnington Park, a large event attracting enthusiasts from all over the country.

Donington Park is a major international Grand Prix class motor racing venue and home to the Donington Grand Prix Collection, the largest collection of Grand Prix cars in the World.

With race meetings for cars and motorcycles throughout the season it is one of the foremost and busiest motor racing facilities in Europe.

Donington Park also plays host to 4,400 square metres of exhibition space, ready this weekend for the Lotus event.

Exige S2 Launched! 

The brand spanking new Exige S2 was launched this month at the Geneva Motor Show.

With a new 1.8 Toyota engine, the Lotus Exige S2 boasts 190bhp at 7800rpm and a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds.

As part of Lotus' federal Elise programme, plenty of effort has gone into testing performance in extreme US climates that us Brits don't normally encounter on the M6.

Released to the public this month, the base model will set you back £29,995 ($54,477.85 US) with performance upgrades available for an extra charge.

Lotus to Open Office in China 

Lotus Engineering is set to open a dedicated office in China in response to the increasing demand for its services from manufacturers in the local automotive market.

Lotus Engineering China will be based in Shanghai and will include staff from Lotus Engineering's base in Hethel, UK, working with experienced engineers local to Shanghai.

"With a new team in place, Lotus is now in an excellent position to more effectively provide domestic producers with advanced innovative solutions for the development and production of modern, world-class automotive products"

Lotus is currently awaiting completion of its offices in Shanghai's Jin Qiao business park, operating from a temporary office in the meantime.

New Elise 111R - Most Powerful Yet! 

Lotus have released their new Elise 111R, the most powerful and highest performing production Elise yet.

With a VVTL-i engine producing a maximum power output of 141kW and 181Nm of torque, the Elise 111R is able to reach 100km/h in just 5.2 seconds and 160km/h in 13.0 seconds. The certified top speed of the Elise 111R has been announced as 241km/h.
